[Event] International Symposium "There Goes the Neighborhood: Increasing Tensions in Cooperative Northeast Asia"NIHU Area Studies Project for Northeast Asia, Slavic-Eurasian Resarch Center, Hokkaido University will host the international symposium in Kitakyushu City, titled "There Goes the Neighborhood: Increasing Tensions in Cooperative Northeast Asia." The distinguished Northeastern Asian researchers from abroad will take part in the symposium. The following are some of the presenters: Yong-Chool Ha (University of Washington), T. J. Pempel (University of California, Berkeley), Paul Evans (University of British Columbia), Elena Barabantseva (The University of Manchester), Natalia Ryzhova (Far Eastern Federal University), Yang Cheng (East China Normal University) etc. Pre-registration is necessary to join the symposium.
